What is Included in Prehab Coaching?

Physical Performance Assessment

We will go through a comprehensive movement assessment to reveal any deficits that are holding you back in the pool and begin to formulate a plan on how to fix them.

Swim Analysis

Most PT’s and strength coaches can’t list all 4 swim strokes, let alone analyze your stroke for any weak points. We will go through numerous swim analyses to address any technique issues that are holding you back.

Customized Exercise Program

Not only will we address any weak points, we will work on improving your strength to allow you to swim better than ever.

A lot of communication

Communication is key for any coach-athlete relationship. We will communicate through check in calls, text, email, messaging, etc. to make sure we set you up for success.

1:1 Coaching Isn’t For Everyone…

It is only for swimmers who are….
– Tired of being frustrated
– Don’t want to have aches or pains when swimming
– Want to try a more personalized approach
– Want long term solutions, not short term fixes
– Don’t want to rely on massages, e-stim, or ice
– Are willing to invest in themselves and their health

Testimonials

What our clients have to say

I found Alex Ewart when a teammate on my masters swim team shared an article about shoulder problems in swimmers and how to manage them written by Alex. The article was helpful and I emailed Alex and he was so responsive. We have been working together for 6 weeks and the results are really satisfying. He is available to communicate along the way and he understands swimmers and athletes in general. I’m 56, very active, and I’ve had lots of physical therapy and coaching over the years (unfortunately) and Alex is one of the best; I’m glad I found him (fortunately).

Jeff Savlov

Alex made this whole experience so easy he’s very intelligent and knows his field well he takes the time to make sure you understand what to do and what’s best for you and we had some laughs along the way. I can’t say enough nice this things about them!! 10/10 recommend

Alex helped my daughter, who is a swimmer, through her shoulder surgery and the recovery process. He went above and beyond every step of the way with both the physical and mental aspects of recovery. He established an excellent program for her that he adapted regularly to meet her changing needs. Alex is a fellow swimmer and having him involved in the recovery process has been key to my daughter’s return to the pool. He had excellent tips for stroke and breathing techniques and yardage goals to set her up for success.

If you are an athlete or have a physically intensive job, and you don’t go to Alex, you are making a huge mistake. That dude works miracles. I’m better than before my injury. Caveat: he’s gonna make you work; do not think it’s gonna be easy. This is the way.

About The Swimming PT

Alex started The Swimming PT  because he saw the need to for swimmers and coaches to learn more about swimming related injuries and how come back from them.

Many swimmers cannot do well in a traditional physical therapy clinic. Why? Because swimmers are unique and there performance demands are unlike any other sport. Too many times a swimmer gets physical therapy but does not get any better.

The Swimming PT was made to help swimmers all around the world get the information they need to get out of pain and improve their performance.
